Dr. Seuss remains one of the most memorable children’s authors and has brought joy to children of all ages. Because he is quirky, inspiring and just downright fun, he is someone we love to celebrate. Dr. Seuss ‘s birthday is March 2nd! Did you know he would have been 114 this year? As we approach this exciting day again this year we’ve gathered five of our favorite ways you can join in the celebration with your family!
1) Eat green eggs and ham!
“I do so like green eggs and ham. Thank you. Thank you, Sam-I-am.”
What better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday than by feasting on the classic green eggs and ham! To achieve this tasty breakfast simply add a drop or two of green food coloring into your scrambled eggs!
2) Find a Target near you hosting a free Dr. Seuss reading event!
This event will include a giant reading of “Green Eggs and Ham” as well as freebies, stickers and posters your little one is sure to love! To find a target near you sponsoring one of these events click here!
3) Join Barnes and Noble at the following locations for a birthday celebration on March 2nd at 6:30 pm –
Desert Ridge, Happy Valley Town Center, Surprise Marketplace, Tempe Marketplace
This free event includes readings of your favorite Dr. Seuss books, games and lots of fun activities!
4) Host a Dr. Seuss Dance Party!
With toddlers and preschoolers who rarely stop moving, a dance party is a great way to not only get their wiggles out but explore more Dr. Seuss activities! Get your dancing shoes on and check out these instructions straight from Seussville!
5) Head to your local Valley Child Care!
