In part one of our two-part series, we briefly discussed why placing your child in a high-quality Pre-K program can help encourage positive cognitive and social development while forming the neural pathways necessary to navigate efficiently throughout life. From positive interactions with peers and teachers to taking the initial steps necessary to make kindergarten easier, there are a number of reasons why you should consider enrolling your little one in a Pre-K class. During part-two of Valley Learning Centers’ series, we will be looking at a few more of the many reasons why our Pre-K program was developed to help your little one learn and grow.

Quality First Program
Since 90 percent of a child’s brain develops within the first five years of their life, it is essential to place them in an environment where they are most likely to succeed and thrive. This is just one of the many reasons why Valley Learning Centers has partnered with Quality First, a state-sponsored program in Arizona that is dedicated to equipping teachers with the tools needed to help children grow. Quality First is also a great tool for parents who want to learn more about what characteristics to look for in a top-of-the-line learning center or child care facility. This is a great way for parents to rest easy knowing that their little one is being given the highest level of care and attention at their learning center of choice.
Developing Spatial Awareness
Developing and refining both gross and fine motor skills are essential for children to be able to complete day-to-day tasks involving voluntary bodily movements. While gross motor skills rely on larger groups of muscles to make larger movements, such as with the arms or legs, fine motor skills rely on small groups of muscles to make precise movements. Activities such as writing and drawing are a perfect example of why developing your fine motor skills is extremely important. We understand the necessity for improving the motor skills of all children, which is why our daily Pre-K curriculum involves activities such as finger painting, drawing, music and movement, and so much more.
Family Feedback
When taking your child to a learning center or daycare facility, it can sometimes be difficult to measure your child’s progression through his or her developmental stages. For this reason, you need a dedicated staff that is as committed to your child’s success as you are. That’s why, at Valley Learning Centers, we maintain a constant line of communication between both teachers and parents to provide you with the peace of mind that you deserve. In fact, we encourage all parents to eat breakfast with their child at one of our state-of-the-art facilities for free before going to work. This is just one of the ways that we are able to remain devoted to our parents and the developmental success of their children.
These are just a few of the many ways that Valley Learning Centers continues to help children around Arizona by providing them with an environment that encourages little ones to learn and grow alongside their peers.
