Since establishing our first early childhood learning center in 1967, Valley Child Care & Learning Centers has been at the forefront of infant and toddler daycare, preschool, and early childhood education programs in Arizona. Much of our success is the result of the values and beliefs of our founder, Paul J. Emch. His grandchildren, James and Mike Emch, now oversee the daily operations of Valley Learning Centers. These men are committed to maintaining the values of high-quality childcare and preschool services in conjunction with sound business practices.
Paul’s original mission was to provide tender loving care and education to each child, and not much has changed over the years. As a family, we share the goal of ensuring that your child knows that they are someone special and that we want to help them learn and grow. Paul expected every employee to be an ambassador of company principles – demonstrating love, integrity, generosity, self-discipline, hard work, and simply treating others as we would like to be treated. The current management team has molded these values into their strategic plans and operating practices, ensuring they shine through in all of our early learning centers. These values are the reason that Valley Child Care & Learning Centers has grown to nearly 400 employees who have cared for nearly 1,900 children every day for the last 50 years.
We believe that every child is a precious, God-given being with basic needs in every facet of life, including the social, physical, emotional, and intellectual components of the self. We will work to instill proper manners and values, including honesty, sharing, respect, and self-worth. It is our purpose to meet those needs when your child is in our care by providing a safe and loving environment.

Toddler
As toddlers learn and grown into the world around them they need an environment that meets their developmentally appropriate needs. Our toddler, preschool program provides a safe and engaging place to build the fundamental building blocks of skills they’ll continue to use throughout their life!
